Additives to increase the strength of concrete and mortar

Microsilica and metakaolin are sealing additives used in the production of concrete, mortar and other materials. Thanks to their properties, they make it possible to create a strong structure for building materials. Their use as additives in concrete and mortar leads to, among other things, an increase in their durability, watertightness and frost resistance.

HP-I microsilica (min. 95% SiO2) is a premium product designed to provide stable properties and minimal impurities. It is ideal for use in refractory materials such as concretes with low and very low cement content.

Microsilica is a by-product resulting from the production of ferroalloys. Replacing 15% of the cement with microsilica increases the tightness of the concrete dozens of times. At the same time the compressive strength increases by 20% and absorption capacity drops to a third.

Metakaolin is a mineral that is formed by dehydrating natural kaolinite at 700-800°C. Its unique properties make it a valuable ingredient in the production of concretes, mortars and in many other applications that affect the quality and durability of structures.
